Our services here at RGB start with spot evaluation of all tape that arrives at our facility. With our visual inspection, we can determine the best course of action before remastering begins. Prior to remastering, all tapes are evaluated to determine whether cleaning is necessary. During the remastering process, the video signal from any of the obsolete machines is processed through digital noise reduction and image enhancement units to best restore the original quality in which it was recorded. The audio signal is also processed through digital audio equipment to remove unwanted background noise, hum, and tape hiss.
Once the audio and video signals have been corrected and approved by the remastering engineer, the signal is then fed to the format of the customer’s choice.
